Bounce fitness is high-energy, low-impact fitness that's SUPER FUN that incorporates two different techniques of rebound jumping: 

Kangoo Dance™ and Kangoo Power™.

Kangoo Dance™ is a safe, energetic, fun and motivating aerobic program taught to music, for all ages and fitness levels. The program is functional and teaches participants effective jump techniques for enhanced enjoyment while preventing injury due to biomechanical stress. It offers more benefits than any other popular group fitness program because Kangoo Jumps rebound shoes act as a shock absorber to reduce impact, when compared with traditional aerobic activities performed in conventional shoes.

Kangoo Power™ is a highly motivating interval training program comprised of a series of simple exercise progressions taught in a 32-64 count format to music. These movements are repeated at various levels of intensity and then combined together. A new movement combination is then developed and added to the first. The end result is a chain of movements comprised of multiple combinations or blocks that are linked together to form a non-stop multi-level workout.



I was born and raised in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia! As a veteran, I had always been somewhat physically active, however, upon turning 50 and being diagnosed with thyroid disease, embarking on a quest to living a healthier lifestyle and making better nutitional choices was my only option.


I fell in love with the methodology of Kangoo Jumps® Fitness Programs (rebound jumping) immediately after attending just one class. I was hooked and knew I wanted to teach! I earned a certifcation from in Group Instruction June of 2018 and became a licensed Kangoo Power Instructor in the Kangoo Jumps®  Fitness Programs in August of 2018. Shortly thereafter, obtained a license as a Kangoo Dance™ Instructor in March of 2019. 

In addition to teaching Bounce Fitness classes aka "Burn w/Verne!", La'Verne or "Verne" as I am affectionately called, am also a member of Black Girls Run. A running community whose goal is to encourage women of color to practice a healthy lifestyle. Currently, I serve as a Run Coordinator for one of the cohorts in South Jersey, and completed 2 half-marathons (yahoo!!!).  

The Burn w/Verne Bounce classes burn fat, tone muscles, are easy on the joints, and SUPER FUN! I am committed and passionate about each person that attends the Bounce Fitness classes. If you're going to get fit, why not have fun doing it! My goal is to help others achieve their personal fitness outcomes, Impact, Inspire, Educate, and Motivate!
